How to Remove the Armrest Box?

You need to remove the clips on the air vent section. Once removed, you will see two fixing screws; unscrew them to take it off. The rear cover of the center armrest is a plastic mold that snaps in. Align it with the groove and slowly pry it open. After prying open the panel, there are two metal clips used to secure the sliding mechanism. To remove the armrest cover, you must simultaneously pry up both metal clips and then pull out the armrest cover directly.
The last time I took apart the center console was to help clean the interior of my friend's car. The whole process was quite simple but required some caution. Start by opening the center console lid and check if there's a mat or tray inside—remove it. Sometimes screws are hidden at the bottom or edges and can be removed with a Phillips screwdriver. If there are no screws, it's likely secured by clips. I used a plastic pry tool to gently pry it open, being careful not to apply too much force to avoid breaking the clips. In my car, the center console also had a USB port connected underneath, so I had to disconnect the small plug before removing the entire unit. Different car models may have slightly different structures—for example, sedans usually have smaller center consoles while SUVs have larger ones—but the basic steps are similar. Basic tools like a cheap wrench or pry tool can get the job done, but it's best to check the manual to confirm the exact locations.
