How to Remove the Air Filter in a Sylphy?

When replacing the air conditioning filter, it is necessary to remove the glove box by unscrewing the three screws located underneath it. You will see five screws inside the glove box, and then the glove box can be easily removed. The cover of the air conditioning filter box is located in this position. The cover of the air conditioning filter box is secured with a clip. Gently push the clip to remove the cover and reveal the filter. The filter is equipped with a pull tab, allowing it to be easily removed with a gentle pull.
When removing the air filter of my Nissan Sylphy, remember to first open the hood and ensure the engine has cooled for at least half an hour to avoid burns. On the right side of the engine bay, you'll see a rectangular box—that's the air filter housing. Press the clips on the housing with both hands; typically, Nissan designs them to be tool-free. Once you hear a click and the clips release, gently lift the cover. When removing the old filter, pay attention to its orientation—note the arrow pointing toward the engine so you don't install the new one backward. After replacing it with a new filter, simply close the housing and secure the clips. The whole process takes no more than ten minutes, saving you a trip to the dealership. I change mine every 10,000 kilometers, which keeps the car running smoother, reduces engine noise, and improves fuel efficiency.
