How to Remove Headlight Scratches with Toothpaste?

Ordinary toothpaste can be used. The scratches are so small that you need to look carefully with the naked eye or use the principle of reflection to see them clearly when viewing under reflected light. Apply toothpaste to the scratches, then use a soft-bristled toothbrush to gently scrub in a clockwise direction for several tens of seconds. After that, wipe it clean with a damp cloth, and the minor scratches can be noticeably filled in.
Last time I noticed some minor scratches on my car lights, so I tried using toothpaste. Remember to choose regular white toothpaste, not the gel type. First, clean the car lights thoroughly, then squeeze a small amount of toothpaste onto a damp towel and gently polish in circular motions for about five minutes with even pressure. After polishing, rinse with water, and indeed, the fine scratches became much less noticeable. This method works well for superficial scratches, as the abrasives in the toothpaste act as a polishing agent. However, excessive polishing can make the lens cloudy, so for deeper or yellowed scratches, it's better to seek professional polishing. If you do it yourself, I recommend applying a headlight protectant after polishing to make the results last longer.
