Volvo XC60's cabin air filter is located under the glove box on the passenger side. The removal and installation steps are as follows: 1. First, remove the passenger side foot mat, then pull out the carpet to reveal the cabin air filter cover of the Volvo XC60; 2. Next, open the cabin air filter cover to see the filter inside, take out the old filter and replace it with a new one, then reinstall it following the original steps. Detailed instructions for removing and installing the Volvo XC60 cabin air filter are as follows: 1. First, remove the clips located at the front of the passenger side in the engine compartment, then take out the sound insulation cotton. Be careful to avoid damaging the clips. 2. Remove the filter. After taking out the sound insulation cotton, reach in to remove the baffle, then reach in again to take out the cabin air filter. Note that there is an arrow indicator on the outside of the filter; avoid installing it backwards. When driving with the air conditioning on, the car draws in outside air into the cabin, but the air contains various particles such as dust, pollen, soot, abrasive particles, ozone, odors, nitrogen oxides, sulfur dioxide, carbon dioxide, benzene, etc. Cleaning tip: If the filter is dirty, clean it by blowing compressed air from the opposite side. Hold the air gun about 5 cm away from the filter and blow at a pressure of 500 kPa (5.0 kgf/cm²) for about 2 minutes. The cabin air filter easily collects a lot of dust; use a blower or high-pressure air to remove the dust. Do not wash it with water, as this can easily ruin it.
