How to Remove Aged Reflective Stickers on a Car?

First, use a wet towel to moisten and soften the sticker, then rub it off. For the remaining adhesive, apply essential balm, alcohol, or spray tar remover to remove it.
I also had the issue of reflective stickers aging before, where the entire sticker became brittle and yellowed. My approach was to first use a household hair dryer to heat the sticker for a few minutes to soften the adhesive, then gently lift the edge with a plastic scraper and slowly peel it off. After peeling, there will inevitably be sticky residue left behind, which I usually clean by applying some medical alcohol or essential balm on a cloth and wiping it several times. If alcohol is hard to come by, you can also spray some WD-40 and then wipe it off—it’s cost-effective and convenient. Be careful not to heat it for too long during the process, as it might discolor the car paint. I recommend doing this on a sunny day because high humidity can affect the softening of the adhesive. After cleaning, remember to check the paint surface for any scratches. If there are any, you can use a scratch wax for a quick fix. Also, to prevent aging, make sure to inspect them regularly and don’t wait until they completely deteriorate before handling them—it’ll be much more troublesome by then.
