How to Release the Handbrake on a Tricycle?

There is a button in front of the handbrake; press it inward and then lower the handbrake to release it. If the handbrake cannot be pressed inward, first lift the handbrake upward while holding the button. At this point, the button can be pressed inward, allowing the handbrake to be released.
I've encountered this issue several times, and I find releasing the handbrake on a tricycle quite straightforward. Typically, it's a metal lever or handle located near the handlebars, designed for easy operation. You just need to gently push it back to its original position—downward or backward, depending on the model. For old-fashioned manual tricycles, a simple push will do; electric models might have a button that you press to release it. Remember to fully release it before starting, otherwise, it'll be hard to move and can wear out the parts. Also, be extra cautious on slopes—release it slowly and test if it's properly disengaged to prevent rolling accidents. As someone who uses a tricycle for daily commuting, I think it's good practice to pull the handbrake tight when parking and double-check it's fully released before starting. Regular maintenance of the brake cable isn't complicated either, preventing rust and jams that could compromise safety.
