When starting, release the clutch slowly—never too quickly, as releasing it too fast will cause the car to stall. During actual driving, you can lightly press the accelerator. In this case, even if the clutch is released relatively quickly, it won't cause the car to stall. When shifting from a lower gear to a higher gear, there's no need to release the clutch slowly. Shift gears when the speed reaches the appropriate shifting speed for a smoother transition. When downshifting from a higher gear to a lower gear, also release the clutch slowly because downshifting requires reducing speed. Releasing the clutch too quickly will result in noticeable jerking. After shifting gears, release the clutch slowly to give the car a transition period. Lightly press the brake first to reduce speed, which is also better for the transmission.
