How to Reapply for a Lost ETC Card?

ETC card reapplication method: The vehicle owner should bring their ID card, the original and a copy of the vehicle registration certificate to the bank counter to handle the card replacement or reissuance. The installation process for the ETC device is as follows: Upon receiving the device, first check if the ETC card and the electronic tag (OBU) are damaged. Press the anti-tamper button on the back of the OBU; a red light will briefly illuminate, and the OLED screen will display "Tag Invalid" or "Please Insert Card," indicating the device is functioning normally. Clean the front windshield, ensuring the surface is smooth, clean, and dry. Then, peel off the adhesive backing of the OBU and attach it to the installation position. Press firmly for 2-3 minutes to remove any air bubbles. Insert the ETC card with the front facing the driver and the back facing the windshield, ensuring the chip is inserted into the OBU device. ETC device activation method: Insert and remove the ETC card twice in succession until the electronic tag screen displays "Bluetooth On." If "Tag Invalid" appears when inserting and removing the card twice without attaching the electronic tag, it is a normal phenomenon and does not affect activation. Alternatively, press the button on the top of the electronic tag to enable Bluetooth directly. Turn on the phone's Bluetooth and open the corresponding mobile app (usually a download QR code is provided on the electronic tag), then navigate to the device activation interface. Click on "Device Connection" and wait patiently for the "Connection Successful" prompt. Once connected, upload a photo of the vehicle's front to complete the activation.
A while ago, I also lost my ETC card, and the first step was to quickly call to report the loss. I directly contacted the customer service of the issuing bank, provided my license plate number and ID card, and the old card was frozen on the spot. The next day, I took my ID card and vehicle registration certificate to the bank branch, filled out a replacement application form, paid a 10 yuan fee, and received a new card in ten minutes. After returning home, I reactivated it according to the instructions, stuck it on the windshield, and it was ready to use. I recommend checking for any fraudulent transactions when reporting the loss. Last time, I found abnormal transactions in the system and recovered the loss in time. Now I've developed the habit of checking if the card is still there every time I get out of the car to avoid going through the hassle again.
