How to Read the Speedometer on an Alphard?
1 Answers
The speedometer of the Alphard is located on the right side of the dashboard. It displays the vehicle's speed in either miles per hour (mph) or kilometers per hour (km/h). The speedometer function requires strong GPS signal support and can display speeds up to 220 km/h. The method for calculating vehicle speed is as follows: 1. The rotor of the speedometer (which has multiple protruding teeth) is fixed on the transmission main shaft and rotates with it. 2. Each time a protruding tooth passes the electronic speedometer sensor probe, the sensor outputs a low-level pulse signal. One full rotation outputs 8 signals. 3. The angular velocity of the transmission output shaft's rotation is calculated based on the pulse frequency, and then combined with the wheel's radius to determine the vehicle's current linear speed.
