How to reactivate ETC after installation?

The method for reactivating ETC after installation is: Insert and remove the ETC card twice consecutively until the electronic tag screen displays "Bluetooth is on". If "Tag invalid" appears when inserting/removing twice without the electronic tag attached, this is normal and does not affect activation. You can also directly press the button on top of the electronic tag to enable Bluetooth function. Turn on your phone's Bluetooth, open the corresponding mobile APP (usually there's a download QR code on the electronic tag), and enter the device activation interface. Click "Device Connection" and wait patiently for the "Connection Successful" prompt. After successful connection, upload a photo of the vehicle's front to complete activation. Where can ETC be installed: For small vehicles like cars and minivans, the OBU device should be installed on the upper middle part of the front windshield. For large vehicles like trucks and buses, the installation position should be on the middle lower part. ETC installation position requirements: The height should be no less than 1.2 meters and no more than 2.5 meters; The installation angle N should be between 30º and 90º (the angle between the electronic tag surface and the horizontal plane).
I recently went through the secondary activation of my ETC device after my old one stopped working following a vehicle change. It's quite simple – make sure the device is properly installed on the windshield without any looseness. Open your usual ETC app, like Alipay ETC or your bank's client, log in to your account, and look for "Device Management" or "Activation Service." Then, enter the device serial number to verify the information. If the app shows a failure, it might be due to an account balance issue or device damage; you can top up your ETC wallet or contact customer service for help. I like to carry some spare tools, like a small screwdriver, just in case the installation isn't stable. The whole process takes about 10 minutes, and I recommend regularly checking the status of the credit card linked to your ETC to avoid toll payment issues. On long drives, this thing is a real lifesaver – just test it at a toll booth after activation to make sure it works.
