How to Properly Perform Car Painting?

Car painting refers to applying a layer of paint to the car's surface to protect it. Typically, baking paint is used for car painting. In automobile manufacturing plants, after the frame and body are welded, the next step is painting. Car painting includes: standard paint, metallic paint, pearl paint, clear coat, and matte paint. When purchasing paint products, choose according to your needs, as they can be reused. For DIY painting, you will need spray cans, a mask, a sponge, gloves, putty and a scraper, a towel, 800-grit sandpaper, 2000-grit sandpaper, a straw and dropper, thinner, degreasing wipes, polishing compound, gloss clear coat, blending clear coat, paint, warm water, scissors, newspaper, and painter's tape. Before painting, sand the scratched area smooth. Wet the sandpaper slightly before sanding, and clean the area thoroughly afterward. Apply putty and wait about 25 minutes for it to harden, then sand again. Start with 800-grit sandpaper for coarse sanding, then use 2000-grit for fine sanding. Sand until the surface feels roughly the same thickness as the original paint, with no bumps or noticeable seams. Cover the surrounding areas with newspaper, and you're ready to paint. Once the paint color is confirmed, use a dropper to add thinner to the paint pen and shake well. Insert the straw into the spray can, then screw the paint pen onto the spray can to assemble the painting tool. Clean the area around the scratch with degreasing wipes before painting. Apply the paint in back-and-forth strokes, with each pass counting as one coat. Wait 1-2 minutes between coats. Depending on the temperature, the paint will need about 20 minutes to dry before the next step: applying gloss clear coat to brighten the paint and match the shine of the old and new paint. Apply the gloss clear coat 2-3 times, waiting 1-2 minutes between coats. Then apply blending clear coat, extending it 10-15cm beyond the painted area to reduce color differences between old and new paint. Usually, one or two coats are sufficient. Once dry, polish the area to finish.
