How to Properly Check a Car's Brake Fluid?

Checking for brake fluid deficiency is straightforward—simply monitor the warning light on the dashboard. If the warning light illuminates, it indicates the need to replenish brake fluid. The warning light symbol is a red circle with an exclamation mark. Regardless of the braking system type, the final braking action is performed by brake pads (disc type) or brake shoes (drum type), so it's essential to regularly inspect the thickness of the brake pads or shoes. If their thickness is found to be close to or below the manufacturer's specified minimum, they should be replaced immediately. A brake fluid quick-test pen features three LED lights: green, yellow, and red. The method of use is very simple—just draw brake fluid into the tube, and based on the LED light display, you can quickly determine the moisture content in the brake fluid qualitatively.
