How to Program a Car Key?

First, insert a key to turn on the ignition, and the security light will illuminate for about 10 minutes. When the security light goes off, within this time frame, turn the ignition switch off and then on again, and the warning light will illuminate for approximately 10 minutes. Repeat the above steps for about 30 minutes, and the remote key will be successfully programmed, rendering previously programmed keys invalid.
I've been driving since I was young, and now my hair has turned white. I've experienced several instances of getting car keys duplicated. The old-style car keys were simple; you could easily get them copied at any locksmith shop for just a few dozen yuan. But nowadays, car keys are much more complex, many of them come with chips or remote functions, which means you have to go to a 4S dealership or a professional automotive service center to get them duplicated. Last time, I accidentally dropped my car key into the river and had to go to the dealer to get a new one matched. They first confirmed the VIN, then used specialized equipment to program the new key. The whole process cost over 300 yuan and took most of the day. It's best not to get keys duplicated at random stalls, as a mistake could damage the door locks. It's wise to keep a spare key at home; I usually keep mine in a drawer, so I'm not left in a lurch when needed.
