How to Prevent Window Fogging When Using Heater in Winter?

When using the car heater in winter, press the defogging button to direct the warm air towards the windshield. Open the side windows slightly to allow air convection inside the car. As the interior temperature gradually approaches the outside temperature, window fogging will be prevented. The causes of window fogging are as follows: 1. Difference in temperature and humidity between inside and outside the car: In winter, fogging occurs on the inside of the windows because the outside temperature is low while the interior is warm due to the heater, causing condensation. Water vapor condenses into tiny droplets on the cold glass, forming fog. In summer, the opposite occurs with fog forming on the outside of the windows. Many people use cold air to defog in winter. 2. Significant temperature difference between indoor and outdoor environments: Generally, the front windshield defrosting function can be used based on driving conditions. If the car is equipped with automatic air conditioning and allows selection of air outlet positions, it is recommended to choose the front windshield and central air outlets, and turn on the rear windshield heating function. This way, the temperature inside the car is constantly regulated, preventing fogging. 3. Avoid selecting two air outlet directions simultaneously: Activate the front windshield defrosting and rear windshield heating functions. If the side windows fog up, slightly opening them can quickly remove the fog. After closing the windows, fog will not reappear once the interior temperature rises.
