ETC reactivation can be performed as follows: 1. Install the ETC device in the designated position and secure it properly; 2. Download the ETC Assistant app on your phone, register and log in, then click "OBU Activation" on the main interface; 3. Quickly insert and remove the ETC card twice or press the Bluetooth button on the top of the OBU device—the corresponding indicator light will turn on, indicating Bluetooth is enabled; 4. Click the "Start Activation" button, and after a brief search, the OBU device's Bluetooth name will appear—click the name to connect; 5. Once the phone and ETC device are successfully connected, you will be prompted to upload photos of the ETC device inside and outside the vehicle for review; 6. After approval, you will receive an SMS notification, or you can check the progress on the ETC Assistant main interface; 7. If approved, click "OBU Activation" again and follow step 4 to connect the OBU to the phone's Bluetooth. A successful connection will prompt the completion of activation.
Found your ETC device unresponsive after windshield replacement? Don't worry - reactivation is easier than initial setup! First, firmly reattach the device near the rearview mirror (avoid black dotted areas). Key point: Activation methods vary by ETC type! For rural commercial bank-issued ETCs: 1) Enable phone Bluetooth 2) Open WeChat mini-program 3) Press the device's back button until red light flashes - the program will auto-detect it. For Alipay ETC: Search "ETC service" in Alipay app and follow Bluetooth instructions. Important! Some older models require 1-hour sunlight charging before activation. If failed, restart phone Bluetooth and retry. Never remove the device during the process!
