How to Park Smoothly?

Vehicle should be positioned slightly further back than the car on the right as the starting position. Use the rearview mirrors to observe the distance on both sides and rely on the parking sensors to determine if the rear exceeds the parking space. Park slowly and steer the wheel in a timely manner.
Having driven for ten years, what I value most about parking is smoothness. With a manual transmission, first decelerate to 20-30 km/h, shift to second gear for shock absorption, and gently apply the brakes for even deceleration—no rush, let the speed drop steadily. Automatic transmissions make it easier: keep it in D, start lightly tapping the brakes over 100 meters in advance, applying force softly and evenly, like a caress, to avoid passengers lurching forward. Hard braking isn’t just jarring—it also wears down brake pads and tires faster. Don’t forget to check the rearview mirror and signal, ensuring a safe distance from trailing cars, especially in rain or on slopes where a gentler approach with the handbrake helps. Practice a few times, and muscle memory will take over, letting you stop smoothly and safely.
