How to Operate the Rearview Mirror Button?

Adjust the left and right positions so that the left edge of the mirror just cuts off the right ear of your reflection in the mirror. When adjusting the up and down positions, place the distant horizon in the center, and adjust the left and right positions so that the car body occupies 1/4 of the mirror's area. For the right rearview mirror, adjust the up and down positions to occupy about 2/3 of the mirror. Adjust the left and right positions so that the car body occupies 1/4 of the mirror's area.
When I first got my driver's license, I was totally confused about the rearview mirror buttons in the car. Later, I found out the operation is actually super simple: There's a small control panel near the driver's door handle with L and R labeled buttons, corresponding to the left and right side mirrors respectively. Press L to start adjusting the left mirror, then use the manual directional buttons (usually a small joystick or four-way button) to move the mirror up, down, left, or right until you can see the rear of the car and the tire position in the mirror—this way, you're less likely to scrape anything while reversing. I started practicing in parking lots, and after a few adjustments, I got the hang of it. Safety first—always adjust while parked, not while driving, to avoid accidents. Another tip: If the mirror is foggy or the buttons feel sticky, just gently wipe them with a damp cloth; don't take them apart randomly.
