How to Operate the Light Switch on Geely Emgrand?

Rotate the outermost knob on the control lever one notch forward, and the position lights will turn on. The high beam design of the Emgrand is not controlled by a knob but by the movement of the light lever. Push the light lever upward once, and the right turn signal will activate. Rotate the knob ring in the middle of the light lever forward to align the indicator with the fog light arrow.
Having driven the Geely Emgrand for so many years, I've mastered the light switch operations. The switch is on the stalk to the left of the steering wheel, with a rotary knob at the end that turns smoothly: first rotate clockwise one notch to turn on the position lights, suitable for dusk or city driving; another turn activates the low beams, ensuring nighttime safety. For high beams, gently push the stalk forward—a light push flashes them briefly as a warning to vehicles ahead, while pushing all the way locks them on continuously. Turning on fog lights is crucial in misty or rainy conditions, usually operated via a separate button on the stalk's side or the dashboard for rear fog lights. The instrument cluster displays real-time light status icons, like a blue dot indicating high beams are on—glancing at these confirms correct operation. Developing a habit of checking lights before driving, especially at highway entrances, prevents oversights. Long-term use may cause dust buildup or stickiness, so I clean the connectors monthly with a soft cloth to maintain responsiveness. Overall, familiarity makes operation swift, boosting driving confidence.
