How to operate the cruise control on Honda URV?

Honda URV requires the vehicle speed to be above 40km/h for the cruise control system to function. The specific operations are as follows: 1. Activate the cruise control system by sliding the switch to the ON position to turn on the speed control system; 2. Set the cruise speed. After the system is activated, when the car reaches the desired speed, press the SET button once to maintain that speed continuously. After setting the cruise speed, you can still accelerate using the accelerator pedal as usual. When the accelerator pedal is released, the system will restore the speed to the set cruise speed; 3. Decrease the cruise speed. Each press of the SET button reduces the speed by 1.5km/h; 4. Increase the cruise speed without stepping on the accelerator pedal. Press RES to increase the set cruise speed. Each press of the RES switch increases the speed by 1.5km/h. If the switch is held down, the car will continue to increase speed. Once the RES switch is released, the current driving speed is stored in the memory; 5. Press the brake pedal or clutch pedal to temporarily deactivate the system. The set cruise speed is still stored in the memory. To restore the set cruise speed, release the brake pedal or clutch pedal and press RES again; 6. Safely turn off the cruise control system by sliding the switch to the OFF position, or when the car is stationary, turn off the ignition switch. The stored values in the cruise system will be cleared, and the system will be completely shut down.
I've had this URV for almost two years now, and the cruise control makes highway driving effortless. See those buttons on the right side of the steering wheel? First press the top button with the speedometer icon to activate cruise control - a white cruise light will illuminate on the dashboard. When your speed reaches above 40 km/h, say you want to set it at 80, press the SET/- button at the lower right of the steering wheel. Each press decreases speed by 1 km/h, while holding it down allows continuous reduction. To accelerate, use the RES/+ button with the same logic. The system automatically deactivates when you brake, but as long as your speed remains above 40 km/h, simply press RES to resume your previous set speed. Never use this feature during rainy/snowy slippery conditions, and remember to press CANCEL before entering ramps - safety first!
Misoperation is the biggest fear when using cruise control. Here are some key points: First, only activate it on unobstructed roads like highways, not in the city. Secondly, pressing the main cruise switch alone isn't enough—that just puts it in standby mode. You must reach a speed of 40 km/h and press SET to officially engage it. Memorize the steering wheel button layout: three vertical buttons on the right functional area—the top is the on/off switch, the middle is SET/deceleration, and the bottom is RES/acceleration. Temporarily cancel with a quick flick of the small CANCEL button behind the control stalk using your index finger—far easier than resetting. Critical reminder: Keep your right foot hovering over the brake pedal when cruise is active, and immediately disengage in slow-moving traffic.
I figured it out right after picking up my new car. Using cruise control is just three steps: Locate the function area on the right side of the steering wheel - the button with the speedometer icon is the master switch; Press the switch while driving to activate the system; Accelerate to your desired speed (above 40km/h); Then press SET to lock the current speed. Afterwards, you can use +/- to fine-tune the speed, adjusting by 1 km per press. A few reminders: Light changes in tunnels may affect system detection; It's best to turn off cruise on long descents to avoid overspeeding; The system is only operational when the green cruise light on the dashboard is illuminated.
