How to operate the automatic gear shift of the Bestune T77?

The Bestune T77 uses an electronic gear shift lever. The P (Park) gear is designed as a button placed above the function keys on both sides, with most function buttons integrated around the gear shift. P stands for Park, D for Drive, N for Neutral, R for Reverse, S for Sport mode, and M for Manual. More details are as follows: 1. P (Park) gear: This is the parking gear used when the vehicle is not driven for an extended period. Most gear shift levers have a "P" button at the top. When parking, pressing the "P" button at the top will display a green "P" on the gear shift lever, indicating the vehicle is in parking mode. 2. D (Drive) gear: This is the forward gear. Hold the lock button on the left side of the gear shift lever and pull it backward. A green "D" will appear on the gear shift lever, indicating the vehicle is in Drive mode. 3. N (Neutral) gear: This is the neutral gear, used for short stops without turning off the engine, such as waiting at a red light or in traffic. Push the gear lever forward until an "N" appears on the gear shift lever, indicating Neutral mode is engaged. 4. R (Reverse) gear: This is the reverse gear, used when the vehicle needs to move backward. Hold the lock button on the left side of the gear shift lever and push the lever forward until an "R" lights up, indicating Reverse mode is engaged. 5. S (Sport) gear: S stands for Sport mode, which makes the vehicle drive more dynamically. When the vehicle is in D mode, pushing the gear lever to the left will switch to M/S mode, with S mode as the default. 6. M (Manual) gear: This is the manual mode. When the vehicle is in D mode, pushing the gear lever to the left will switch to M/S mode, with S mode as the default. However, pushing the gear lever forward or backward will switch to M mode. Pushing forward decreases a gear, while pulling backward increases a gear, displaying m1, m2, m3, etc. The M mode can also be switched back to automatic mode by pushing the gear lever to the right at any time.
When I drove the Bestune T77 before, I found the automatic transmission particularly easy to use. Just press the brake, hold down the unlock button on the gear lever, and shift from P to D. Release the brake and the car moves. When parking or reversing, always wait until the car comes to a complete stop before shifting to P or R—don't rush the gear change to be kinder to the transmission. For long red lights, I usually shift to N and engage the handbrake, so I don’t have to keep my foot on the brake, saving some effort. One important note: if parking on a slope, always tighten the electronic handbrake before shifting to P to protect the transmission's locking mechanism. Just remember one rule with this car—never shift to P or R while the car is moving. Be cautious, and once you get used to it, you’ll find driving an automatic is truly effortless.
Driving the Bestune T77 is quite straightforward. To start the engine, first press the brake pedal, then press the button on the left side of the gear lever to shift gears, and engage D gear to move off. During normal driving, just leave it in D gear as it shifts automatically. When overtaking on the road, a deeper press on the accelerator will automatically downshift to boost speed, with no need for manual shifting. For reversing, you must come to a complete stop before shifting to R gear. After parking, engage the foot brake before shifting to P gear, and remember to press the electronic parking brake button. Once, during a temporary stop, I accidentally touched the gear shift button and found that you can't engage P or R gears while the car is moving—a design that's quite safe. Just remember to shift gears only when the car is fully stopped. Automatic transmissions are hassle-free and very convenient to drive.
