How to Operate a Manual Transmission Car from Left to Right?

The seat belt is located on the left side of the driver's seat and can be freely extended. Pull the seat belt out and insert it into the buckle on the right side. The driver's seat can be adjusted for backrest tightness. Under the seat, you can pull it forward or backward to adjust the distance between the driver's seat and the steering wheel. Start the engine. If you feel a slight vibration in the car body, it means the engine has ignited. Press the clutch pedal all the way down with your left foot while shifting into first gear with your right hand. Then release the handbrake and slowly release the clutch with your left foot.
When I first learned manual transmission, I always felt the operation was as coordinated as dancing. Pressing the clutch pedal with the left foot is the crucial first step—it’s located to the left of the brake, and when depressed, the car disengages power. Then, the right hand moves to the gear lever on the center console—usually shaped like a handle—gently pushing it into first gear, which is used for starting. Gradually releasing the clutch while lightly pressing the accelerator with the right foot adds fuel, allowing the car to move forward smoothly. As speed increases, press the clutch again to shift into second gear, and so on for higher gears. For reversing, first come to a complete stop and fully depress the clutch; the gear lever might need to be pressed down slightly before shifting into reverse. At first, I often stalled or shifted into the wrong gear, but practicing more in an empty lot made it much smoother.
