How to Open the Wrangler's Hood?

In the Wrangler's cabin, on the left side near the bottom, there is a handle to pull. Then, press a small lever under the hood to open it. For most vehicles, the hood release is located inside the car, typically slightly to the left under the steering wheel. Placing the switch inside the car has the advantage of preventing unauthorized opening from the outside. Below is some relevant information about the hood: 1. The main requirements for a hood are heat and sound insulation, lightweight, and rigidity. 2. When opened, the hood usually flips backward, though a small number flip forward. A backward-flipping hood should open to a predetermined angle without touching the windshield, maintaining a minimum gap of about 10 millimeters.
As a new owner of a Wrangler, I was a bit confused the first few times opening the hood. Sitting in the driver's seat, just feel for a black lever under the dashboard near your left foot, and gently pull it toward you. Then, step out and go to the front of the car where the hood will pop up slightly. Reach in to find the safety latch in the middle, give it a flick, and you can lift the hood. Remember to use the small support rod to secure it, so the hood doesn't fall and hurt your hands. It's very convenient for checking the oil or cleaning out dust, and the operation is simple and easy to learn.
