Trunk button on the driver's door. In the driver's cabin position, on the door trim panel, you can see a button to open the trunk. Use the rear lid button to open. On the edge below the trunk lid of the Luxgen U6, specifically in the middle position between the left and right license plate lights.

Opening the Luxgen trunk is actually quite simple, and I usually use two methods. The most convenient way is to directly press the tailgate button on the key fob, then manually lift it after unlocking. If you're carrying items and it's inconvenient to take out the key, there's also a trunk release button in the driver's seat, usually located on the door panel side or below the steering wheel - just press to unlock. However, do remember to check for obstacles when manually opening or closing the trunk, especially for models equipped with reversing cameras, as forcing it shut might damage the camera wiring. Last time at the supermarket parking lot, I saw someone unable to close their trunk, only to find a shopping bag strap stuck in the gap.

The tailgate can be opened primarily using the key fob and the central control button. Press and hold the button with the car rear symbol on the key fob for three seconds to unlock it. Once you hear a click, simply lift the tailgate. If the key fob battery is dead, don't panic. Older models usually have a mechanical keyhole hidden above the rear license plate—insert and turn the key to open it. Newer models might hide it behind the tailgate emblem. By the way, the trunk won't open directly when the car is locked; you'll need to unlock the entire car or specifically the trunk first. Once, I borrowed a friend's car and stood there holding a box at the rear, only to realize later that I needed to press the unlock button on the key fob.

Vehicles equipped with the hands-free liftgate feature can be opened with a simple foot motion. First, unlock the vehicle and stand about half a meter directly behind the rear bumper. Quickly sweep your foot under the rear bumper (note: do not kick the bumper). When you hear two beeps, step back slightly, and the liftgate will automatically rise. This feature is especially useful on rainy days when your hands are full with packages, eliminating the need to bend down and search for a switch. Remember to keep the key in your pocket or bag for the system to detect it. Based on my tests, the feature activates reliably with one sweep out of three attempts—just ensure proper positioning over the sensor, typically located slightly left of center between the rear wheels.
