Methods to open the oil cap: 1. Use the in-car switch to open it; 2. Open it by pressing. After adding oil, make sure to tighten the oil cap to prevent oil leakage. Engine oil, also known as engine lubricant, serves to lubricate and reduce friction, assist in cooling, seal against leaks, prevent rust and corrosion, and provide shock absorption for the engine. Engine oil consists of two parts: base oil and additives. The base oil is the main component of the lubricant, determining its basic properties, while the additives compensate for and improve the shortcomings of the base oil, endowing it with new properties, making them an important part of the lubricant.
I remember the first time I opened the oil cap was quite a joke - I tried to unscrew it while the engine was still hot and ended up with hot oil splashing all over my hand. Since then, I've learned my lesson and always turn off the engine to wait for about ten minutes, making sure it cools down before doing anything. You need to locate that plastic round cap on top of the engine with the oil can symbol, then unscrew it counterclockwise. If it's a bit tight, use a cloth to help with the grip. Never use pliers or similar tools as the plastic threads can easily get stripped. After opening, remember to check the rubber seal ring underneath the cap - replace it promptly if it's aged, otherwise oil might leak through the gaps. When screwing it back after maintenance, don't over-tighten it - just align the threads and gently turn it clockwise until snug.
