How to Open the Hood of Lincoln MKC?
2 Answers
The hood release lever of Lincoln MKC is located near the door on the left side below the driver's compartment. Pull this lever to release the hood. Then, look into the slightly opened hood gap from the front left side. You'll find a yellow switch inside. Reach in and flip this switch to fully open the hood.
The first step to open the Lincoln MKC hood is to locate the hood release handle inside the driver's seat, typically found in a small recess to the left of the brake pedal with a small pull tab featuring a hood icon. Pull the handle firmly until you hear a click sound indicating the hood is unlocked. Then, close the door and walk to the front of the vehicle. Under the central part of the hood, there is a hidden safety latch. Reach in to feel for a pressable button or a toggle lever. Hold it down while using your other hand to lift the hood upward until it is fully open. Be cautious during the operation to avoid pinching your fingers by moving too hastily. Once lifted, the hood support rod will either automatically pop out or require manual adjustment to secure it into the slot. Remember to perform the entire process on level ground to ensure safety. If unfamiliar, refer to the owner's manual for illustrated steps—never force the hood open to avoid damaging the latches or wiring.
