The method to open the hood of a Levin is: 1. Open the driver's side door; 2. Pull the hood release lever located below the steering wheel on the left side. The Levin is a compact car with body dimensions of: length 4640mm, width 1780mm, height 1455mm, wheelbase of 2700mm, and a fuel tank capacity of 50 liters. The Levin is equipped with a 1.2T turbocharged engine, delivering a maximum power of 85kW at 5200-5600 rpm, and a maximum torque of 185Nm at 1500-4000 rpm, paired with a 10-speed continuously variable transmission.
When I first bought my Levin, I often struggled with how to open the hood. Later, I figured it out through trial and error. Generally, you need to follow two steps: First, sit in the driver's seat, bend down, and locate the small lever near your left leg under the steering wheel. Pull it firmly, and you'll hear the hood pop open. Then, walk to the front of the car, reach under the front edge of the hood, and feel for a small release handle or button. Press or push it while gently lifting the hood with your other hand. Remember to always do this after the engine is turned off and cooled down to avoid burns or accidents. I usually open the hood to check the oil or refill the windshield washer fluid. It's a good idea to demonstrate this to new car owners during routine maintenance so they can feel more confident handling it themselves later. Don’t forget to secure the hood support rod properly after opening to prevent it from falling and causing injury. The design of the Levin is quite user-friendly, and you’ll get used to it after a few tries.
