There is a square-shaped lever located on the lower left side inside the driver's position. Pull it to release the hood spring, then move it to the left and lift the hood. Additional information regarding hood adjustment and installation is as follows: 1. Hood Removal. Open the hood, cover the car body with a soft cloth, detach the windshield washer nozzles and hoses from the hood, mark the hinge positions of the hood, and remove the bolts fixing the hood to the hinges to prevent the hood from slipping after bolt removal. 2. Hood Installation and Adjustment. Hood installation should be performed in the reverse order of removal. Before tightening the bolts fixing the hood to the hinges, adjust the hood forward, backward, left, and right. The height can be adjusted using hinge shims and rubber buffers to ensure uniform gap alignment. 3. Adjustment of the Foldable Hood Lock Control Mechanism. Before adjusting the hood lock, properly align the hood, loosen the fixing bolts, move the lock head forward, backward, left, and right to align with the lock seat. The front end of the hood can be adjusted in height via the dovetail bolt on the lock head.

When I first got my Compass, I also spent quite some time figuring it out! There's a handle with an engine icon on the floor below the driver's seat—pull it upwards firmly. After hearing a click, go to the front of the car and slide your fingers into the gap of the hood. You'll feel a small metal tab; push it to the left while lifting the hood. Remember not to do this when the engine is scalding hot to avoid burning your hand. During my last maintenance, the mechanic mentioned many people don’t know about the second step—finding the safety latch—and just keep pulling inside the car, unable to open the stuck hood.

Insurance coverage: In the event of an accident caused by the insured or a permitted driver while using the insured vehicle, resulting in bodily injury, death, or direct property damage to a third party, the insurer is responsible for compensation according to the "Road Traffic Accident Handling Measures" and the terms of the insurance contract for the economic liability that should be borne by the insured. However, the insurer is not responsible for handling the aftermath of the accident.

What Are the Reasons for a Sudden Increase in Car Fuel Consumption During Summer?

Driving with the air conditioning on increases fuel consumption by approximately 20%. Below is some relevant knowledge about a car's fuel consumption per 100 kilometers: 1. Concept of fuel consumption per 100 kilometers: This refers to the amount of fuel a vehicle consumes when driving a distance of 100 kilometers on the road at a certain speed. It is a theoretical indicator for the vehicle. The fuel consumption per 100 kilometers is a value measured by manufacturers under objective conditions using a dynamometer installed on the vehicle's chassis, which is then converted into speed parameters. The vehicle is then driven at specified speeds to calculate the theoretical experimental fuel consumption per 100 kilometers for the model. 2. Fuel consumption and engine displacement: Although fuel consumption is related to engine displacement, this relationship is not absolute. A larger cylinder volume can accommodate more combustible mixture (air-fuel), so under otherwise identical conditions, an engine with a larger cylinder volume (displacement) will inevitably have higher power and higher fuel consumption.

What size tires fit on 16-inch rims?

16-inch rims can accommodate 225-size tires. Car tires are one of the important components of a vehicle, directly in contact with the road surface. Together with the car suspension, they help absorb shocks during driving, ensuring good ride comfort and smoothness. They also maintain excellent traction between the wheels and the road, improving the vehicle's traction, braking, and off-road capability. The rim is the rotating part of the wheel that connects the tire's inner contour to the hub via spokes, serving as the metal component mounted on the axle to support the tire. Modifying car rims requires approval from the traffic management authorities. Only approved rim modifications can pass annual inspections. Unapproved modifications will result in failure during the annual inspection.

Pros and Cons of Walnut Shell Blasting for Carbon Deposit Cleaning

Walnut shell blasting for carbon deposit cleaning has the following pros and cons: 1. Advantages: Compared to current carbon cleaning methods such as fuel additive treatments or manual disassembly cleaning, walnut shell blasting provides more noticeable cleaning results. Currently, there are even more effective methods than walnut shell blasting, such as dry ice cleaning for carbon deposits. 2. Disadvantages: For car owners who have tried walnut shell blasting, the price is relatively expensive. Additionally, walnut shell blasting has limitations in certain engine areas, and the cleaning results may not be satisfactory. Furthermore, after walnut shell blasting, although devices are used to suction out the walnut shells that have absorbed carbon particles, any residual material may potentially cause engine failure.
