How to Open the Hood of a Car?

There is a hood release button located below the car's steering wheel. Pull the button inside the car, and usually, the hood will become loose. Lift the hood, reach inside, and flip a mechanical latch to fully open the hood.
When I first bought a car, I didn't know how to open the hood either. It's actually quite simple. After sitting in the driver's seat, there's a rectangular lever on the left side near your foot. Pull it firmly until you hear a click, and the hood will pop open slightly. Then, walk to the front center of the car, reach into the gap, and feel for a movable latch. Push it all the way to the left while lifting the hood. Remember, the engine must be turned off for at least 10 minutes before attempting this, as it gets extremely hot right after parking and can cause burns. Once lifted, locate the metal support rod on the left side and insert it into the slot to secure the hood. Most modern cars have hydraulic struts that automatically hold the hood up when you push it. This method is very convenient for checking the oil yourself, but never open the hood while the engine is running.
