How to Open the Hood of a Boyue Car?

Method to open the hood of a Boyue car: There is a hood lock handle in the gap between the front grille and the hood. First, lift the hood upwards to widen the gap, then pull the hood lock to release it. The front hood switch of the Boyue is located in the control area on the left side of the steering wheel, featuring an unlock button. Simply press it lightly, and the hood will pop up slightly with a "click" sound, indicating it is unlocked. However, pressing the engine hood unlock button inside the car does not fully open the hood. There is an additional latch located in the middle of the front hood. Only after releasing this latch can the engine hood be fully opened. The Boyue is a model under Geely, with body dimensions of 4519mm in length, 1831mm in width, and 1694mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2670mm. In terms of exterior design, the Boyue's front face continues Geely's family-style "water ripple" grille. The design inspiration for the chrome trim on the front fog lights comes from the Chinese jade Ruyi. The LED headlights, shaped like eagle eyes, are sharp in design, with a black and bright silver light bowl design, giving a strong three-dimensional effect.
Last time when I helped my neighbor open the Bonnet of the Boyue, I studied it carefully. First, sit in the driver's seat without starting the engine, bend down and feel for the lever with an engine symbol near the left side below the steering wheel, close to the knee area. Pull it outward and you'll hear a 'pop' sound indicating it's unlocked. Then, walk to the front of the car, but don't rush to lift the hood. There's a hidden safety latch in the middle gap of the Boyue's bonnet. Insert your fingers to feel a small horizontal lever, push it to the right while gently lifting the bonnet with your other hand. Finally, remember to secure the metal support rod inside the front of the car. The safety latch design of this car is quite concealed, so it's normal not to find it on the first try.
