There are two levers below the left side of the driver's seat; the one on the left is the fuel tank cap lever. Pull the fuel tank cap lever to open the fuel tank.
For how to open the fuel tank cap of an Alfa Romeo, I think if you've just got such a car, don't worry about the operation being complicated. I drive a Giulia myself, and generally don't need a key to open it: after starting the car, look for a round button on the driver's side door panel or near the center console, press it, and the fuel tank cap will pop open; if there's no response, try turning off the engine and gently pressing the fuel tank cap on the side of the car. This design is super convenient, saving time and preventing theft. When refueling, always make sure the car is turned off and in P gear to avoid the fuel nozzle touching the car's paint. Practice a few more times when driving for the first time to get familiar with it. If it's an older Stelvio, the button position might be different, but the principle is the same. Reading the car manual more can avoid confusion.
Opening the fuel tank cap of an Alfa Romeo is actually quite simple. I often drive these cars and have noticed that the operation varies slightly between different models: newer models like the Tonale can be opened by pressing a button under the dashboard inside the car; older models like the 159 may require pressing the fuel tank cap itself from the outside. If the button doesn't respond, it might be due to a blown fuse or wiring issue—simply replacing the fuse should fix it. During regular maintenance, it's good to check the button's responsiveness to avoid awkward situations at the gas station. For safety, I always emphasize turning off the engine before operating and parking on a flat surface to minimize risks.
