How to Open the Fuel Tank Cap on a Cadillac ATS-L?

This vehicle uses an electromagnetic induction lock, so there is no need to press the fuel tank cap switch inside the driver's compartment. Simply pressing the fuel tank cap itself will suffice. Inside the trunk, there is also a backup fuel tank cap switch located on the right side. The owner will need to manually remove the rear adjustment panel to access it. If the fuel tank cap does not open, please retry the following steps: turn off the engine - lock the doors - unlock - then press the fuel tank cap on the right side to open it.
As a Cadillac ATSL owner, I find the fuel tank cap operation very convenient during refueling. When sitting in the driver's seat, there's a small lever near the door on the left side. Gently pulling it with your hand will pop open the fuel tank cap. If you can't find it at first, just look down near the carpet—the position is quite user-friendly. If it doesn't open, don't pull too hard; the cap might be stuck or the lever could be rusty. You can lightly tap the side of the cap with your fingers. Remember to close the cap properly after refueling to prevent dust from entering, which makes long-term usage worry-free.
