How to open the fuel tank cap of the Lavida Tour?
2 Answers
The fuel tank cap lock of the Lavida Tour is connected to the central locking system of the doors. Unlocking the doors simultaneously unlocks the trunk and the fuel tank cap. After unlocking, press the fuel tank cap with your hand and it will pop open. The fuel tank cap refers to the box on the car used for storing gasoline. It is square in shape, made of stainless steel, and has excellent sealing performance.
I've been driving my Lavida for several years, and opening the fuel tank cap is actually quite simple. First, you need to unlock the vehicle—use the key or the button to release the door locks, which will simultaneously unlock the fuel tank cap. Then, walk to the side of the car, press gently on the left side of the fuel tank cap (toward the rear of the vehicle), and you'll hear a click as it pops open. It might feel a bit stiff the first time, but applying some fuel filler lubricant will help. If pressing doesn't work, check if the doors are truly unlocked, or look for a dedicated fuel tank release lever near the lower left of the driver's seat—give it a pull if you find one. Don't overlook this cap during regular maintenance; make sure it seals properly when closing to keep dust out. On rainy days, it might get stuck more easily—press a few more times or apply some lubricant, but avoid forcing it open to prevent damage. In short, get into the habit of unlocking before operating for smooth and damage-free use.
