The method to open the fuel tank cap of the Cruze is as follows: simply press the fuel tank cap lightly. If the fuel tank cap is damaged, you can use the backup manual switch located on the right side of the trunk to open it. Please note that when opening the fuel tank cap, the car must be turned off and the key must be removed. The dimensions of the Cruze are 4666mm in length, 1807mm in width, and 1460mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2700mm. In terms of power, the Cruze is equipped with a 1.5L four-cylinder naturally aspirated engine, paired with a manual transmission, delivering a maximum power of 84 kilowatts and a maximum torque of 114 Newton-meters. It also features safety configurations such as an automatic parking assist system and a side blind zone intelligent warning system.
Last time I drove my friend's Cruze, I encountered this issue and found it's actually super simple! For older Cruze models, just look down at the left side of the driver's seat floor—you'll see a plastic handle with a fuel tank symbol. Pull it, and the fuel filler door pops right open. But remember, the car doors must be unlocked first—it won't work if the car is locked. The newer Cruze models are even more convenient: just press the right side of the fuel filler door after unlocking the car, and it automatically pops open. If the handle gets stuck, don't force it—try locking and unlocking the car instead. In winter, the cable might freeze, so it's best to operate after warming up the car. Always turn off the engine before refueling, and take a moment to check if the fuel filler door's rubber seal is aged or cracked to prevent fuel leaks.
