To open the fuel filler cap of a Lavida car: 1. The fuel tank cap of the Lavida car is located on the right rear side of the vehicle. You can use the key or the central locking system to unlock the car and open the fuel tank cap. 2. Press the fuel tank cover to open it, then unscrew the fuel filler cap counterclockwise and hang it on the fuel tank cover. 3. When opening the fuel tank cap to refuel, ensure the fuel nozzle is correctly placed inside the filler opening to prevent fuel from spilling or splashing out, which could cause a fire or burn injuries. 4. Do not enter the car while refueling. If you must enter the car, close the door and touch a metal surface before touching the fuel nozzle again to remove static electricity, as failure to do so may generate sparks and cause a fire.
I drive an older Lavida model, and initially, I couldn't find the fuel filler cap switch. Later, I discovered a pull tab with a fuel pump icon near the left leg area of the driver's seat. After unlocking the car, a gentle pull on this tab causes the fuel filler cap to pop open slightly. Then, after getting out of the car, a press on the cover fully opens it. Remember, this operation must be done with the vehicle unlocked—it won’t budge when the car is locked. Also, after refueling, make sure to press the cap firmly until you hear a 'click' sound, indicating it’s securely closed. Once, I didn’t close it properly and drove on the highway, causing the cap to flap loudly in the wind—I thought the car had broken down!
