How to Open the Engine Hood of the Magotan?

To open the engine hood of the Magotan, follow these steps: Locate the red handle under the driver's side dashboard, pull it downward, and you will hear the front hood pop open. Then, find the hook in the middle front of the hood, lift it upward by hand to fully open the hood. In terms of active safety, the Magotan and its entire lineup are equipped with the ESP electronic stability program, effectively preventing body skidding when avoiding obstacles at high speeds, ensuring the safety of both the driver and the vehicle. The Magotan measures 4865mm in length, 1832mm in width, and 1471mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2871mm. It is equipped with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and has a top speed of 208 km/h.
When seated in the Magotan's driver seat, first look down near the door frame above your left foot to locate a small lever marked with a hood icon. Pull it firmly backward until you hear a 'click' signaling the front compartment has released. Then exit the vehicle and approach the front bumper, where you'll notice the hood slightly ajar with a visible gap. Slide your fingers inward along the centerline to locate a horizontal metal latch—push it left or right while simultaneously lifting the hood steadily with your other hand. The hydraulic struts will audibly 'snap' into place when raised to waist height. To close, always support the hood with both hands and lower it gently, releasing from about half a foot above the latch to allow secure self-locking. This procedure is most common during DIY oil checks; remember the hood is heavier than expected—avoid forcing the latch to prevent damaging the locking mechanism.
