I remember there's a simple way to open the Elantra's trunk. Normally, I just press the trunk button on the remote key, and it pops open instantly—very convenient. Sometimes when I forget the key inside the car, I can use the button on the door panel near the driver's seat, usually located around the driver's left leg. There's also a hidden switch on the trunk lid itself; just feel around near the license plate area to open it.
