Press once, only the driver's door can be opened from the outside, while all four doors can be opened from the inside; hold for several seconds to open the windows of all four doors. Press twice, and all four doors can be opened from either the outside or the inside.

I've been driving a Magotan for many years, and every time I unlock the door, I rely on the key. If you have a remote key with buttons, simply press the unlock icon: the car will flash its lights or beep to indicate the door is unlocked. If the remote doesn't respond, the battery might be dead; check if the key has a spare small key slot, insert it into the door lock cylinder and turn clockwise to unlock. Modern Magotans come with a keyless entry feature: approach the door and pull the handle to unlock automatically. You can also remotely control the door locks via the Volkswagen Connect mobile app, but you need to set it up in the settings first; ensure your phone has a stable internet connection. Remember, the key battery should be replaced every two years using a CR2032 model; the spare mechanical key is hidden inside the key casing and can be a lifesaver in critical moments. Never force the key to turn to avoid damaging the lock cylinder, and regularly check to ensure the key functions properly.
