How to Open the Car Hood?

Lift the handle upwards to raise the engine hood and support it. Push the engine hood latch switch to the right and lift the engine hood.
Opening the car tow hook cover is actually quite simple, and I often do it myself when towing. First, you need to locate its position on the bumper—usually a small square cover at the bottom of the front bumper. Press directly on one edge of the cover with your hand, and it will pop open with a click. If it's too tight or won’t open with hand pressure, don’t force it—this can easily scratch the paint or damage the plastic. Instead, use a flathead screwdriver wrapped in a soft cloth to gently pry the edge. Most cars like Honda and Toyota are designed this way, but European models may differ. Remember, avoid unnecessary tampering to prevent the cover from loosening or misaligning, which could make it hard to locate the tow hook point when needed. If it still won’t open, dirt buildup or a special mechanism might be the issue—consult the manual or visit a repair shop to avoid bigger problems.
