How to Open the Camry Hood?

Usually, there is a "release lever" near the front of your left knee. After pulling it, the hood will pop open slightly. Then, use your hand to press the latch under the front center of the hood to fully open it.
As a seasoned Camry owner with over a decade of experience, opening the hood is a routine operation for me and quite straightforward. After you settle into the driver's seat, don't rush to get out. First, look down near your left foot for a small lever—a plastic handle close to the door—and give it a firm pull. Upon hearing a 'click,' the hood will slightly pop open with a small gap. Then, step out of the car, walk to the front, and slide your hand into the gap at the front edge of the hood. Feel for a small latch or button, and gently push or press it toward the front of the car to fully release the hood. After that, lift the hood and secure it with the built-in metal rod. I always remind myself that safety comes first: it's best to do this when the engine is cold to avoid burns from a hot engine, and make sure the support rod is properly positioned to prevent it from accidentally falling and causing injury. Regularly opening the hood to check oil or coolant levels can help prevent minor issues and keep the car running smoothly for years.
