How to Open a Baojun 630 Key to Replace the Battery?

Flip the small switch on the key to remove the mechanical key. After pulling out the mechanical key, you will notice a gap around the key casing. Use a screwdriver or another thin tool to pry it open. Rotate along the seam to separate the smart key, and the back cover will pop out automatically. Remove the old battery, then replace it with a new one. Reattach the back cover and insert the mechanical key to complete the process.
As an owner of the Baojun 630, I once experienced weakened remote key functionality and decided to replace the battery myself. There's a slight gap at the back of the key—just use a plastic card to gently pry it open, but don't apply too much force or the clips might break. Inside, you'll find a CR2032 coin battery; simply remove the old one and replace it with a new one. I recommend changing the battery every two years—I've used Nanfu or Energizer brands, which offer good durability. If prying it open is difficult or you lack the tools, a quick visit to a 4S shop or auto repair shop will do the trick, saving you money and hassle. Don't forget to test the lock and start buttons after replacement to ensure they respond properly. Keeping the key dry to avoid short circuits is a small tip to make your car care easier.
