Nissan Qashqai throttle matching method is: 1. Keep the engine off, turn the ignition switch to the ON position; 2. Wait for 3 seconds, then within 5 seconds quickly and fully press and release the accelerator pedal 5 times, wait for 7 seconds, do not move anything during this period, then fully press the accelerator pedal and hold it steady; 3. Observe the engine warning light on the dashboard, after about 10 seconds it will start flashing and then remain steadily lit, at this point release the accelerator pedal, the matching is complete. The dimensions of the Qashqai are 4315mm in length, 1783mm in width, and 1606mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2630mm. The interior configuration of the vehicle includes a 9-inch high-definition capacitive touchscreen and is equipped with the NissanConnect Nissan Intelligent Mobility system.

I've got experience with matching the Qashqai after cleaning the throttle body. First, disconnect the negative battery cable and wait about seven or eight minutes before reconnecting it, allowing the vehicle's computer to completely reset. Then turn the key to the ignition-on position but don't start the engine. Watch as the dashboard lights come on, wait for about half a minute, then turn off the key and wait 15 seconds. Finally, start the engine normally and let it idle in place for ten minutes without pressing the accelerator. During this time, the engine speed will gradually decrease from high to the normal range of around 800 RPM. Remember to turn off power-consuming devices like the air conditioning and headlights during the process. For newer models with start-stop functionality, it's recommended to visit a dealership and use a diagnostic tool. This manual procedure usually works well for older Qashqai models.

The throttle matching for the Qashqai is actually quite simple. After cleaning the throttle, just get in the car, start the engine and let it run normally, then press the accelerator pedal all the way down and hold it for more than 10 seconds before releasing. After turning off the engine, wait for about 10 seconds before restarting it, and you'll notice the idle speed is much more stable. The key is to perform this operation when the engine is at normal operating temperature; in winter, you might need to warm up the engine for a few extra minutes. If the matching fails, the engine may shake or even trigger a warning light. For older models, you can try disconnecting the negative terminal of the battery and then retry, but for Qashqai models from 2019 onwards, it's recommended to go to the dealership for a computer-assisted matching to save trouble.

Throttle matching is mainly to allow the ECU to relearn the throttle opening position. For older Qashqai models, the procedure is simple: disconnect the negative battery terminal for five minutes, then reconnect it, turn on the ignition without starting the engine and wait for 30 seconds, and finally let the engine idle for ten minutes to complete the process. For newer models, a diagnostic tool must be used to access the engine system for operation. Attempting to do it yourself may result in unstable idle speed, and in severe cases, it could affect fuel consumption and exhaust emissions. The cleaning frequency should not be too high; performing it every 30,000 to 40,000 kilometers is sufficient. Before and after matching, remember to check the air filter and intake pipes for any leaks.
