Turn the ignition switch to the ON position. Press and hold the maintenance light reset button, then rotate it until Trip A appears on the odometer. Turn off the vehicle and switch the ignition to OFF. While holding and rotating the maintenance light reset button, turn the ignition switch back to the ON position again. Continue holding and rotating the maintenance light reset button until the odometer resets to zero. After 5 seconds, Trip A will display "000000", indicating the maintenance light has been successfully reset.
As an experienced car enthusiast who frequently tinkers with vehicles, I manually reset the maintenance light every time after servicing my Levin—it's really not difficult. Here's the usual procedure: First, turn the key to the OFF position to shut off the engine. Then, locate and hold down the ODO/TRIP button on the instrument panel. Next, turn the key to the ON position without starting the engine, and wait patiently for about 10 seconds. The maintenance light on the dashboard will flash a few times and automatically reset—just release the button. Remember, this trick works for most Levin models, with button positions being similar across different years. When the maintenance light comes on, it's essentially reminding you to change the oil or get a check-up—don't ignore it. Otherwise, engine carbon buildup or accelerated wear could lead to failures, and the money saved on repairs won't cover it. Since developing the habit of regular resets, my car runs smoother, and fuel consumption has stabilized.
