I've been driving the GAC GS4 for over two years now, and locking the trunk mainly relies on the remote key operation. After closing the tailgate each time I finish loading or unloading, I simply press the lock button on the key, and the entire vehicle, including the trunk, automatically locks. If the key is in my pocket and I'm too lazy to take it out, pressing the lock button on the driver's door works just as well. This car is quite smart—when I approach with the key, the trunk can sense and open automatically, but it must be manually locked after closing. Once, after grocery shopping, I noticed the trunk wasn't properly locked, and the dashboard actually lit up a warning light to alert me—a very thoughtful design. Usually, after locking, I habitually pull the handle to confirm and then check that the hazard lights flash twice, which pretty much ensures everything is secure.

Where Should You Park Your Car During Strong Winds?

During strong winds, it is recommended to park your car in an underground garage or an open parking lot. Here are some relevant tips about parking during strong winds: Avoid parking near billboards: Areas near billboards require special attention because their large size not only enhances advertising effectiveness but also increases their wind exposure. This can make them top-heavy during strong winds. If the wind resistance exceeds the support structure's capacity, objects underneath, especially parked cars, can suffer significant damage. Try to avoid parking close to buildings: Parking near tall buildings or residential areas during strong winds can be risky. With multiple floors, there's always a chance of falling objects, ranging from small items like clothes hangers to larger hazards like shattered windows.

What is the reason for the warning light being on and the inability to accelerate?

The reasons for the warning light being on and the inability to accelerate include aging or damaged wiring, aging battery, generator issues, etc. Below is an introduction to the engine warning light: Reasons for the light turning on: The engine warning light (referred to as the MIL light) illuminates due to faults in components monitoring vehicle exhaust emissions. The onboard diagnostic system (OBD) detects excessive exhaust emissions, such as issues with the ignition coil, spark plugs, catalytic converter, exhaust valve, fuel injector, intake pressure sensor, oxygen sensor, etc. Consequences of the light being on: When the engine warning light is on, the engine operates in an abnormal state. If not addressed promptly, it may lead to problems such as increased combustion chamber temperature, accelerated wear, and potential early engine damage. Increased engine noise affects driving and passenger comfort. Higher fuel consumption wastes petroleum resources and money. Engine oil burning may occur. Vehicle exhaust quality deteriorates, polluting the environment. To maintain the engine in good working condition, owners can choose high-quality gasoline, which usually resolves the issue of the engine warning light being on.

What is the purpose of the company vehicle management system?

The vehicle management system aims to standardize and institutionalize vehicle management, ensuring the rational and effective allocation and use of various vehicles, maximizing cost savings, and accurately reflecting the actual condition of the vehicles. It seeks to achieve the highest possible economic benefits while controlling the maintenance and repair of all company vehicles to ensure their safe and optimal operation. Vehicle Usage Management: For business trips within three kilometers, employees should primarily use public transportation (except for managers and the finance department when handling large cash transactions). Other eligible vehicle usage must be registered, recorded, and applied for; supervisors will assign vehicles based on priority order, and those who fail to follow the application procedures will not be provided with a vehicle. If company vehicles are temporarily unavailable, employees may take a taxi only after registering and obtaining approval from the supervisor. The invoice must indicate the starting point, destination, and purpose of the trip; otherwise, reimbursement will be denied. For personal use of company vehicles, employees must obtain approval from the office and a vehicle dispatch form signed by the general manager before the supervisor can issue the car keys. Before returning the vehicle, it must be clean, undamaged, and in normal working condition, with fuel costs calculated based on mileage. Use of vehicles during holidays or off-hours requires prior approval from the responsible supervisor.

Where is it safe to park a car during a typhoon?

When parking, try to avoid parking under flower pots, air conditioners, billboards, street lights, utility poles, trees, etc. It is recommended to park in an open parking lot. When choosing a parking spot during a typhoon, first observe the surroundings for any nearby outdoor billboards or potential hazards like flower pots and debris on upper floors, as heavy objects blown down by the wind and rain can damage improperly parked vehicles. During typhoon conditions, avoid parking in these areas: low-lying areas prone to flooding, such as underpasses, as they can easily turn your car into a waterlogged vehicle; do not park in emergency lanes or fire lanes, as obstructing these passages can significantly hinder rescue operations during a typhoon; avoid parking lots without proper management and maintenance, and check if the parking lot has a well-functioning drainage system to minimize the risk of flooding. Do not force your way through harsh weather conditions. Always stay highly alert to your surroundings and seek a safe spot to pull over if necessary. During a typhoon, encountering flooded roads is inevitable—never attempt to speed through such areas. After confirming the water depth, maintain a safe distance from other vehicles and pass through slowly to minimize potential damage to your car. Reduce your driving speed for your safety and that of others. In reduced visibility, immediately turn on your hazard warning lights, side marker lights, low beams, and front/rear fog lights.
