How to Lock a Car Steering Wheel?
1 Answers
After turning off the engine and removing the key, quickly turn the steering wheel half a turn to the left. You will hear a "click" sound (in a quiet environment), similar to the sound of closing a door. At this point, the steering wheel can no longer be turned. To unlock it, insert the key into the ignition, then with one hand attempt to turn the steering wheel (even if it doesn't move, wiggle it left and right as if trying to turn it), while simultaneously turning the key with the other hand to release the lock. Below are the steps for using a baseball-style steering wheel lock: 1. First, adjust the steering wheel to your preferred position. 2. Then, attach the baseball lock's clamp onto the horizontal bar of the steering wheel. 3. Hold the lock head with your left hand and the lock handle with your right hand. Finally, rotate it clockwise until the lock's double clamps are securely fastened. 4. At this point, the steering wheel is locked by the baseball lock. To unlock it, simply insert the key and follow the reverse steps.
