How to Install Rear Seat Buckles?

Press the buckle and pull out the long seat, then remove the screws to separate the long seat from the backrest. After separating the long seat and backrest of the car seat cushion, pass the long cushion through the buckles on the car seat cushion from below and secure the long seat cushion. You can then fit the backrest cover onto the headrest of the rear seat. Finally, after reinstalling the long seat, make sure to reset the seat belt.
I've installed car rear seat clips several times, and it's basically about aligning and pressing hard. First, lift the rear seat to locate the slot underneath, and clean out any sand or debris. The protrusion of the new clip must be perfectly aligned with the metal slot on the chassis. Then, use your knee to press against the center of the seat while gripping both sides with your hands, and push down firmly until you hear a 'click' sound, indicating it's locked. After installation, always test the seat's stability by pulling it upward forcefully—if it's not secure, the seat may pop up dangerously during bumps. Remember not to cut corners by only pressing one side; both clips must fully engage with the slots. Plastic clips are prone to cracking, so in winter, it's best to soften them with a hairdryer before installation.
I usually enjoy tinkering with car seats myself, and the key to installing rear seat buckles lies in the technique of applying force. First, lift the seat to its maximum angle; the buckle slot is generally located in the middle of the seat frame, and some cars have it designed to be more concealed. After aligning the new buckle, don't rush to press hard—make slight left and right adjustments to ensure it's perfectly vertical before applying force. It's recommended to use the entire palm to press on the top surface of the buckle; using fingers to press may cause it to slip off. When installing, apply a bit of explosive force—you'll know it's properly seated when you hear a crisp click. If it doesn't work the first time, check if the buckle slot is deformed. Original buckles cost only about seven or eight yuan, so never make do with a broken one. Remember to wear gloves when handling, as the metal edges can be quite sharp.
