How to install fog lights on BYD F3?

Installation process for BYD F3 fog lights: 1. First, turn the steering wheel to the extreme (turn right for left fog light replacement, turn left for right fog light replacement to expose the working area), then remove the screws on the cover plate. 2. Next, remove the two plastic fasteners under the front bumper, use a flat-head screwdriver to remove the cover plate behind the tire, and then pry open a gap with your hand. The width of the gap only needs to be enough for your hand to reach in. 3. Pry open the clip next to the connector to remove the power connector, then rotate the fog light counterclockwise to remove it. 4. Install the new fog light and reassemble it following the original method.
I also installed fog lights on my own BYD F3, and the process wasn't actually difficult. First, you need to purchase an original or compatible fog light kit—better quality means less hassle. Locate the pre-drilled holes on the front bumper; if there aren't any, carefully cut them out, ensuring the positions are symmetrical. When installing the light housing, secure it tightly with screws to prevent wobbling. The wiring is the most critical part: run a wire from the positive terminal of the battery to the switch button near the driver's seat, adding a fuse in between to prevent overload. Remember to disconnect the negative battery terminal before starting—safety first. Adjust the angle to be level, and test the lights to ensure they don't shine too high and blind oncoming traffic. After installation, I noticed much clearer nighttime visibility. Before starting, watch tutorial videos to avoid mistakes.
