ETC installation process is as follows: Upon receiving the device, first check if the ETC card and electronic tag (OBU) are damaged. Press the anti-tamper button on the back of the OBU, the red light will briefly illuminate, and the OLED screen will display "Label Invalid" or "Please Insert Card," indicating the device is functioning properly. Clean the front windshield, ensuring the glass surface is smooth, clean, and dry. Then peel off the adhesive backing of the OBU and stick it to the installation position. Press firmly for 2-3 minutes to remove any air bubbles. Insert the ETC card with the front side facing the driver and the back side facing the windshield, ensuring the chip is inserted into the OBU device. ETC installation requirements: For small vehicles such as cars and minivans, the OBU device should be installed in the upper middle part of the front windshield. For large vehicles like trucks and buses, the installation position should be in the lower middle part. ETC installation position requirements: the height should be no less than 1.2 meters and no more than 2.5 meters; the installation angle N should be between 30º and 90º (the angle between the electronic tag surface and the horizontal plane).

I recently installed an ETC device myself, and the whole process was quite simple. Let me share my experience. First, go to the bank to apply for a card and get the device, which is a small box, either free or requiring a small deposit. Before installation, clean the windshield and choose a spot to the left or right of the rearview mirror. Wipe the area with alcohol, then stick the device on and press firmly for several seconds to secure it. The device is solar-powered, so no wiring is needed, making it very convenient. Next, the activation part is crucial. Download the corresponding bank's app, scan the QR code on the device, input your personal information, and bind your account. Then, go to a nearby toll station and try the ETC lane to see if the sensor works smoothly. If there are any issues, check if the device is properly positioned. The whole process took about half an hour, and now driving on the highway is much more convenient, plus you get discounted toll fees—totally worth it.

I think preparing well is crucial when installing an ETC. Choose reliable suppliers such as major banks or official outlets to avoid counterfeit products. The windshield should not have thick metal film to prevent signal interference, and the device should be firmly fixed near the rearview mirror after cleaning the surface. Activation steps involve scanning the QR code with a mobile app to quickly link the account. During the first test pass, drive at a low speed to check if the recognition is working properly. I remind everyone not to modify the circuit themselves, as it may void the warranty; if in doubt, seek help from professional institutions—safety comes first. This way, after installation, long-distance travel will be worry-free and effortless.

I installed the ETC for the sake of convenience. The device is a small box that sticks to a clean spot on the windshield, making sure it doesn't block the view. Activation is done via an app by entering information and linking a bank card, which takes just a minute or two. When using it, just drive through the highway toll station—no need to stop, as the sensors will detect it automatically. Over time, it saves a lot of time and offers full convenience with ease of use.

The installation location for ETC is crucial; avoid areas with antennas. Clean the glass thoroughly before attaching to ensure a firm hold. The activation process is simple using the official app: scan the QR code, input personal information, and bind your account. After binding, it's advisable to perform an initial small top-up for testing. Test it at a toll station to ensure normal signal reception and avoid mid-journey malfunctions. Note the device type: solar-powered versions are now popular, requiring no additional wiring, more energy-efficient, and needing less maintenance for long-term use.
