How to install an ETC sensor?

ETC sensors are installed on the inside of the car's front windshield. The base is fixed using a small circular plastic suction cup attached to the windshield. You can choose the installation location yourself, as long as it does not obstruct the driver's front view. ETC, which stands for Electronic Toll Collection, is an automatic toll collection system for highways or bridges. It uses dedicated short-range communication between the vehicle-mounted electronic tag installed on the windshield and the microwave antenna in the ETC lane at the toll station. Through computer network technology and backend settlement processing with banks, it enables vehicles to pass through highway or bridge toll stations without stopping to pay tolls.
Installing the ETC sensor is actually quite simple. I've done it myself a few times. First, peel off the static sticker from the device package and attach it to the black area behind the rearview mirror on the windshield, making sure to clean the glass to avoid bubbles. Then, remove the double-sided adhesive protective film from the back of the ETC device, align it with the static sticker, and press firmly for thirty seconds. Be careful not to touch the anti-tamper switch at the bottom, as this could lock the device. Finally, activate it using your phone's Bluetooth by scanning the QR code in the device's companion app. After installation, it's recommended to test it once on the highway to ensure the toll gate lifts automatically. Also, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, as the solar panel may degrade and shorten the device's lifespan.
