The installation method of the ETC card is as follows: 1. Purchase the ETC device, check if the device is complete, and read the installation manual; 2. Determine the installation direction of the ETC device, with the solar panel facing outward; 3. Peel off the adhesive backing of the device, fold the solar panel towards the vehicle's front windshield, and press firmly to ensure secure adhesion; 4. Install the device in the center of the upper part of the vehicle's front windshield, ensuring it does not obstruct normal driving visibility. It should be adhered in one go and not removed and reattached; 5. Insert the ETC card, activate the ETC device, and upon hearing a beep from the device and seeing the indicator light turn on, the device is activated and the installation is complete.
When I first bought my car, I installed the ETC device myself—it was super easy. The first step is to go to a highway toll station or bank to apply for the ETC device and card, filling out a form to complete the process. After getting the device, don’t rush to install it. Choose a good spot—the middle of the top windshield or behind the rearview mirror works well. Find an area without metal frame interference, clean the glass with alcohol, and let it dry. Step two: peel off the adhesive backing of the device, press firmly for several seconds to ensure it sticks securely, then insert the card until you hear a beep, which means it’s activated. The whole process takes just a few minutes, and doing it during the day ensures better visibility. After installation, remember to drive to a highway entrance or exit to test it, ensuring smooth detection without delays. ETC offers many benefits, like discounts on highway tolls, saving time by skipping queues, and being hassle-free. For maintenance, check the adhesive regularly and clean the device to avoid issues. For first-time installation, avoid hot days to prevent adhesive failure.
