How to Insert the Key in Lavida's One-Button Start?

Keys with keyless entry function have the mechanical key folded or hidden inside. For conventional folding keys, simply open them to find the keyhole and unlock the door. If the key is hidden, generally the mechanical key is concealed within the main key. When needed, pull it out to unlock the car door.
The Lavida's one-button start system actually doesn't require inserting a key. As an owner who drives this car daily, I use it all the time. You just need to carry the smart key with you—usually keeping it in your pocket is enough—then after getting in the car, press the brake pedal and hit the start button on the center console, and the engine fires right up. The key is smart-sensing, and the system detects its presence nearby, so there's absolutely no need to look for a keyhole. The Lavida wasn't designed with an insertion slot—if you try to force it, you'll only damage the button or wiring, leading to unnecessary repair hassles. The key's battery needs replacing every year or two; otherwise, it won't be detected. If the battery dies, the manual says you can use the mechanical key part to unlock the door via the handle and then start the engine via backup methods. This feature is super convenient, eliminating the key-insertion step, especially during hectic winter drives—just press the button and go, no fuss. But remember not to leave the key too far away, or it won't detect it and won't start. I've had that happen to me before.
